I had come across this dragonfly, wet and stuck to the ground, yet still twitching about. I scooped it up and tried to help it dry off, but it finally gave up. Part of me thinks dragonflies can be a bit creepy, like most insects –especially up close. But they also have such pretty wings, so I took the opportunity to photograph a still subject under different lights and highlight their magic.
